I went to MicroCenter tonight and was looking at laptops. I had a salesperson ask what I was looking for. I got a strange look when I said I wanted W10 Home cause it would get wiped anyway. I don't think she thought I was serious.

I'm wondering if war caster is worth it for me to maintain darkness or not. I'm leaning on no for the above reasons, but I def could be wrong. Depends on how many things can get around darkness that I encounter, which I can't know in terms of my campaign.

@nerdydad said in Is a $200 Wireless Oculus Rift Coming Next Year?: How about a virtually assembled congress? This is already being considered today in many states so that the congress-people can get back into touch with their constituents. It also increases safety for the government as all of your eggs are not in one basket, in Congress. LOL - that will be the day.

@obsolesce It's called paravirtualization. And Xen has done it since the 1990s Only Xen could do it for the entire VM, not just the drivers.

But AoE 2 was great too. OH! Then I get it.

Did someone try this with this emulator to play games from these 2 console games? I have found the games that I want to play and now I'm confused is this emulator will support them, I'm new at this so any new advice would be nice. It's specific purpose is Wii games, so yes, that's the idea. And GC as well.

It's just the NVidia Shield in a different box. Nice for what it is, but really underpowered. It's rather odd that we have such a low standard on consoles vs other hardware. Tablets are obsolete at 6 months old, but console are still relevant at 6 years old. From the impressions I got, the Switch is mostly tablet anyhow... It's built from the guts of one, literally.

The three app stores that are baked into devices (excluding Amazon) Apple: The exclusive club that allows business transactions on its premises but don't piss off the owners or you're out on your ear. Google Play: The we accept anyone club where people come to hang out and do a bit of business. Pick pockets and thieves go unnoticed but are thrown out upon discovery. Windows store: The wild west, lawless, don't trust anyone. A marshall/law bringer comes to town every-so-often, throws out a few trouble makers, doesn't finish cleaning up the place before leaving again.

That's debatable. true. IMO, they fail to do enough with their IP. But their RPG games tend to be well developed solid titles. This new Zelda game is supposed to be fantastic. I wasn't a big fan of Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess so I'm not sure I would really like this one.

@Mike-Davis said in Online Deals for Cyber Monday on Gaming PCs: I'm not a gamer at all so bear with me. Do all games get loaded in to RAM where it doesn't matter that these machines don't have SSDs? In the CAD world, it made machines 30% faster to put a SSD in them. No but portions do. SSD will reduce load time between scenes but not affect gameplay.

@nadnerB said in Skyrim Special Edition Is Out: @scottalanmiller said in Skyrim Special Edition Is Out: @thwr said in Skyrim Special Edition Is Out: Update or pay-again? Update. Owners of the full original game on Steam prior to the 26th found the new addition added to their libraries on Wednesday morning. No action or cost involved. IF and only if you bought the game and ALL the DLC. Otherwise, pay again. That's what would make it an update.... if you don't already own what is being updated, it would be a give away Update implies that you own the original.

@coliver said in Nintendo Switch Announced: To really shake up the market Nintendo needs to look at putting their backlog to mobile and PC. That would take Nintendo from a distant fourth in the hardware business to a serious competitor in the software business. Problem is... tons of their games are actually terrible and only sold because there was no competition. Of those that were okay, the majority rely on hardware gimmicks not available on phones or PCs. So porting the games is very, very hard. Anything since the Wii or DS era and you are seriously hampered in getting those games to another platform. Older stuff like GBA and GameCube you can port pretty easily. So even series that people liked, it would be a struggle to get the full series ported. And everything would need to be totally revamped or it would showcase how poor the graphics were in the originals.
